The 2013-14 school year: Let's get it started!

Parents & Students:

We are looking forward to starting the school year. Please note the following updates:

If you missed Friday's registration, you can stop by the front office Monday-Wednesday of this week to get your schedule, locker, bus pass, etc. (Don't forget this week's school schedule: Freshmen only on Thursday and all grades on Friday.)

School safety is a top priority at Erie High School and in the St. Vrain Valley Schools. To that end, all St. Vrain high schools now have security vestibules at the front entrance. Because exterior doors are secured during the school day, all visitors must ring the front office before entering the school. Please be sure you have photo identification with you as you will be asked to present this before entering the school.

Parents and students: please help us welcome an outstanding group of new teachers and staff to Erie High School this year:

  • Ms. Beth Cerrone - math teacher and head tennis coach
  • Mr. Scott Wright - drama and music teacher
  • Ms. Diana Lentz - special education paraprofessional
  • Mr. Miguel Ramirez - campus supervisor
  • Mr. Tyson Chavez - night lead custodian
  • Ms. Betty Delgado - attendance liaison

My experience meeting parents and students at Friday's registration was exactly what I thought it would be. Erie is a community full of energetic and wonderfully friendly people. Looking forward to a GREAT school year!

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop by school. Thank you for your support of Erie High School and GO TIGERS!

Best Regards,

--Matt

Looking forward to joining the Erie High School community

I will be making the official transition to Erie High School next week. I am looking forward to meeting students, parents, and community members this summer and next fall.

Special thanks to Mr. Steve Payne!! Mr. Payne has been very gracious with his time and wisdom. He and I will be spending a few days working together to make the transition as smooth as possible. Also very grateful for the support of assistant principal Doug Kudrna, dean of students Paul Stecina, and outgoing athletic director Mark Roemer. Last but not least: Also looking forward to having Richie Wildenhaus join us as our new athletic director.

GO TIGERS!

Sincerely,
